I did research before buying. My mother was using other foot spa systems and I was horrified at the level of corrosion and bits of broken off metal on these other systems. They looked like stuff was growing on them that you’d see in a petri dish. The way they cleaned the equipment was awful – no scrubbing brush, nothing, just a quick rinse. The fact they could use the electrodes endlessly, without replacing them, worried me because I knew they were running them past their treatment value. That is why my mother had no benefit from the session. As a nurse, I was horrified by the lack of hygiene and lack of care to cleaning the equipment. I wanted the equipment clean, clean, clean.
With Platinum you cannot run the array on forever. The array stops after at a finite number. You know you are not being ripped off; you are getting the same level of treatment - every time. Very specific cleaning procedures were being used and great care was being applied to cleaning the equipment. That is very important to me.
The other models have monitors. I saw that the needle was at a different spot each time. The sessions were inconsistent. How do they know what to do? If the needle goes too high, they are suppose to take the person out and re-do the water. They were not doing that. It takes too much time. They had people back to back.
The Platinum system does not need monitoring. It is idiot proof. When my mum tried the Platinum system, she felt completely different. She didn’t felt wiped-out like she did on the other systems. I was sure that this was due to the level of electricity. Her feet were swollen in the other system, and her feet were fine in the Platinum system.
I wanted to know it was safe for my mum and my kids. I wanted the assurance that the electricity rate was controlled and automatically monitored. I wanted consistent results.
